Why Not Do It Yourself?

As with everything, doing home automation yourself is an option.  It's how we started.

But we bring a lot of experience and expertise to the table when it comes to automating your home.  If you just want to be able to turn a light on and off, there are absolutely some great options out there at the home improvement stores to help you get started.  But if you want to go any further, tying into your air conditioning or more, this is not a job you want to take on.

There are many  systems like air conditioners, pool controllers and other household systems that simply don't have easily accessed controls for off-the-shelf- home automation systems.  They may have an app that lets you control them individually but nothing that ties your home together into an intelligent, integrated system.  The idea of turning off the AC when a door or window is opened (and turning it on again after they are closed for a set period of time), is simply not done easily with the starter kits you find at the home improvement stores.

In many cases we have found that custom software is required to bring these systems under the control of home automation.  The great news is we have extensive experience in creating this software for the major home automation system platforms such as HomeSeer 4.  These include systems like:
